They cannot play PS2 games, but they can play almost all PS1 games.

the slim supports the latest HD sound codecs whereas the fat does not.

Whats makes the slim better than the fat. besides the look and physical features. like i know it has bigger GB but what about graphics? is it faster? etc.

the save files barely take up any space, the system updates take up about 100mb’s and updates for games take up 7 – 20 mbs. When you buy a game off the play station store it takes up a few gb’s

just another question, how much hard drive does each game take while saving it? updates? etc.

they are essentially the same, the only difference is the hard disk size. Word of advice try finding a ps3 that is in a bundle with either some free games or other accessories, because those bundles are great deals… take care

tell me about it, I had 4 Xbox’s all got the red ring, and I was NOT a fan of the PS3 until Uncharted 2(plus at this time ps3 seems to be climbing up a lot), but Microsoft has gone down WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY down on my list cuz of the XBox

@wyanokerebels if uncharted was so dumb then why did it get game of the year in 07 then u2 got game of the year 09 if you dont like ps3 dont watch the fucking video fag i went through 3 xbox elites before i went to ps3 they all got the red ring sony is more reliable and im not a fan boy i have all the systems i just think ps3 is more reliable

PS3 is a joke. gimme a break who the fuck actually watches blu ray, plus your exclusives SUCK ASS!!! (cept’ MGS4) gimme a break infamous and lbp, lbp is for psp anyways, your dumb uncharted, while we have fable and halo and all the good exclusives, you rot with your shitty exclusives, sure we have to pay for online, but our community and content outdoes yours in every way. and to all those militant ps3 fans: have a doobie. Hey i am or should i say was a previous ps3 owner. honestly this is the best and number #1 console alive, due to experience. yeah i own an xbox 360 but it sucks, ps3 is capable of so much, graphics, gameplay, ect. but companys are holdind back, due to money issues. all in all, ps3 is the best im no fan boy but this console is amazing buy it, its not to late. by the way i gat banned from the PSN network, but planning to buy a new ps3 slim.

PS3 SLIM cannot play PS2 Games
Original PS3 can, Although it can only play certain games.
